Pinxton local history 2 Years, 10 Months ago Karma: 2
I found this site and thought I might find a contact name for Pinxton Local History Society which I beleive exists, but as there is practically nothing on this site, and I do not live in Pinxton to encourage people to use it, I don't suppose I will bother again! I need to contact someone this week. I will try other avenues. Historians are not known to be in the technology forefront.

You might try the following people ... Dennis Deneley,
11 North Close,
South Normanton,
Derbyshire.
DE55 2AG
Telephone: 01773 810631

or

Norman Taylor,
2 Hilltop Road,
Pinxton,
Derbyshire.
NG16 6QJ
Telephone: 01773 780809

they both jointly was involved in a local histroy video project.

Another person involved in local history research is Jill Sparrow - 59 Alfreton Road, South Normanton.

All of the above will be great for signposting too.

Good luck - John

Thank you so much,
That is exactly the sort of info I expected to find on your site. I will mention it to the contacts when I get in touch. I am part of a history group not to far away and want to make contact to invite them to an event of ours. What is signposting?

We are building up a local history site - alfretonhistory.co.uk.

Post a message on there for other people to read.

This is the most popular webiste in the area - we get 3 or 4 registrations a week and around 50,000 hits a month from all round the world - and it's listed on the BBC website too!
