Did the earth move for you last night?

If you were fast asleep you may have missed it, but my whole home shook from side to side as Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire experienced its biggest earthquake for years.

The tremor was big enough to shake whole houses and wake most people up from their sleep.

The shock wave was felt as far away as Leiciester and at 1.14am as i write this, there is no local or internet news reporting.

27th February 2008 at 1.04am Derbyshire in the East Midlands experienced a large earthquake.

Log on and tell us about your expediences of the earth tremor.

It was an amazing thing.

So strange an experience; i have never been in an earthquake before and i was amazed at how powerful it was. Felt like a giant rocking the walls back and forth!

I slept through the after shock which was around 4am time.

It was quite interesting too to see the worldwide reaction on the web - within minutes the US Geological site had around 400 reports of the incident.
